Badminton Care
Focusing on quality care at home for people that need a little help due to frailty, age, disability
or ill health. We have a 24-hour service with friendly caring and professional staff. With an emergency 24-hour call
line. Badminton Care has developed from a Care Home where the owners have had over 23 years of experience in nursing. We
are now accredited with South Glos. Bath and NE Somerset Social Services.
Aims and Objectives
The company's principle aim is to arrange care packages tailored to meet individual needs for
clients in their own home, enhancing the quality of life by maintaining individuals freedom and independence
Service
Our private service is tailored to Clients needs providing various levels of personal care from
duration of 1 hour to 24 hours (minimum 1 call of 1hour per week). We supply services short term or long term, respite
or convalescence. Whether for 1 off's, respite care or a more permanent position. Our care and assessments are
monitored by qualified RGN.
Social Care
We are able to collect, prescriptions and accompaniment on outings or be there for companionship and
encouraging self-care. If you feel you cannot manage alone at night we can help with a Sleepover.
Quality
Our ongoing quality standards are rigorously maintained. We have a set of quality procedures and
protocols covering all aspects of the business, we are also registered to ISO9001, and members of UKHCA. All of our
staff are trained and follow these standards, we then audit the procedures on a regular basis to make sure we are
maintaining the standards set within the criteria laid down. All clients have their own care plans and assessments.
Personal Care
Care staff are experienced and trained to make life easier with dressing, washing, shaving, bathing,
and assisting with catheter bags, aids and adaptations. Rise and shine and preparing for the day. Bedtime with a drink
and light supper, secure in the knowledge that professional help need only be a telephone call away.
Sleep in Service
Carers are available to sleep in your home, for your reassurance and comfort. It is expected that
the carer has a bed to sleep in and clean linen. The carer is there for emergencies only.
Staff
Carers are carefully selected and matched to the client only after references and checks by the Criminal Records Bureau
have been carried out. Carers have to complete an induction-training program before carrying out home care duties. Badminton
Care a private community care service providing managed care to private individuals and Social Service Users in their own
homes. Badminton Healthcare makes 4 different checks and take up references on prospective care assistant before we send
them on assignments in the community. We take the worry out of hiring staff, Paying, National Insurance, personal tax, and
the legislation regarding Health and Safety. All care staff have been trained or on the training programme for NVQ. We expect
all care staff to have achieved NVQ2 within a set period.
